Text:- Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the Church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:14 NIV)

Our God is the One who heals, cures and restores. He is very much concerned with our physical and spiritual wellbeing. It is this God’s concern for our wellbeing and power to heal, cure and restore that the lessons appointed for this service bring to the fore.

Naaman, the leprous Syrian army Chief was sent to Prophet Elisha to be cured of his leprously He received his healing. In the same way King Hezekiah was restored to wholeness from his illness, and, additional fifteen years were added to his life’s span by God. The list of those who were cured and restored to sound health by God in the Bible is endless.

We all have our existential challenges. There is only one way to solve them. The only way is to come to the Lord Jesus Christ and be healed, cured and restored. But we must come in obedience, humility, prayer and faith (Heb. 11:6; 4:15-16; Jas. 5:14-16); Jas 5:14-16). And anyone who comes to Him for succor and deliverance, He will not in anyway cast away (John 6:37), as there is no any challenge beyond His immense power seek the Lord, He will hear you and deliver you from all your fears. Look unto Him and you will not be ashamed. Taste the Lord and you will discover that He is good, for the Lord redeems the souls of his servants and non of them that trust Him shall be desolate (Psalm 34)

It is never too late to come to the Lord for deliverance and solutions to our problems Elsewhere, it is wholly sorrows and disasters (Psalm 16:4).

At even, ere the sun was set

The sick, O Lord around thee lay

O in what divers pains they met

O with what joy they went away

They touch has still its ancient power

No word from thee can fruitless fall

Hear, in this solemn….hour

And in they mercy heal us all.
