So live that you wouldn’t be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip.

How does it feel to have your words parroted back to you? Often, not very good.  Whenever we lose our temper, answer someone sarcastically, or repeat a choice morsel of gossip, we set ourselves up for trouble.  What about the hurtful words we speak to those we love? Sticks and stones can break their bones, but words can crush the spirit.

And another misuse of the tongue is to say things like, “Oh, I can’t do anything right” or “I’ll never get out of debt.” That only reinforces those notions and steers the course of your life on a self-defeating path.  Get back on course by speaking positive words about yourself and others.

THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH

IS IN YOUR TONGUE.

USE IT WISELY.
