Text: “For I know the plans I   have for you, “declares the LORD,” plans to prosper  you  and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

One of the defeating questions we sometimes unconsciously ask ourselves is:” if it’s like this today, how will tomorrow be”.

The thought of what tomorrow holds can be a serious source of worry, fear and depression. Many of us are too much afraid of what tomorrow will bring that we lose the Joy of today. Many worry so much and carry the pains of tomorrow or even problems that have not arisen.

No one knows what will happen tomorrow. The Bible establishes this fact in James 4:14 “whereas  ye know not what shall be on the morrow”. However, this should not make us fret and anxious of tomorrow or to think because of the problems of today that tomorrow will be bad.

The message of Prophet Jeremiah is for us. The Prophet wrote the Israelites who were suffering and passing through hardship in Babylon this message of hope. He wrote to assure them that their present sufferings wouldn’t determine their future; that their future is in the hands of God. Despite their present suffering, God still have good plans in stock for them.

Beloved, your tomorrow is in the hands of God and I wish to let you know, it is secure. Things will get better because God is already giving you hope and a future. You have no reason to worry, fear, or lose hope. Don’t concentrate on present sufferings but on the glory that will soon be revealed in your life. For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to be revealed in us.  Romans 8:18
