Meditational Phrase:  “Jesus is my advocate”

Text :    Luke 22:32

Reflection

How encouraging is the thought of the Redeemer’s never ceasing intercession for us. When you pray, He pleads on your behalf; when you are not praying, He is advocating your cause and by His supplications, you are shielded from unseen dangers and perils.

The word of Jesus to Peter in today’s passage is a word of Comfort. “Simon, Simon, Satan had desired to have you that he may sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you”. Jesus did not condemn Peter nor told him to go and be praying for himself rather He said “I have prayed for you that thy faith failed not”.

There are many evil things Satan is planning against your life. He wants to sift, attack and destroy you. He wants you to loose your focus and abandon God’s given vision for your life.

Be happy, Jesus is before the Father pleading on your behalf. He has already thwarted and unmasked the Scheme of the Devil against your life. Satan can no more prevail; your victory over temptation, sin and the attack of the Devil is sure.
