Theme: YOU SHALL LIVE AND NOT DIE
“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord”. Psalm 118:17
Bible Readings: Psalm 91, Job 36:11, 1 Peter 3:1-10
Occasionally, we find ourselves under such conditions in which we feel our world is collapsing. Under these conditions, some lose their faith, declare the negative, and it happens to them as they thought.
A research was carried out to know the relationship between human mind set and death. A convict on death row was used. His hands and legs were tied to a bed as he laid on it in a dark room one night; he was then given a slight cut on his leg which he had no privilege to ascertain how deep it was. Unknown to him the cut released no blood; however, a pint of blood which was allowed to drain slowly on a platform which produces audible sound to his hearing was put near his legs. By the following morning the convict had died, he had believed that the way they wanted to take his life was to drain his blood. He had death in his thought system and he died.
Beloved, that you are sick today does not mean you will die soon. Be like the psalmist and declare with confidence that you will not die. It doesn’t matter the noise the devil is making around you, just declare God’s promise today and stand on it. The devil may roar like a lion, but he is not one.
Jesus Christ is the lion of the tribe of Judah.
